The Plasencia Cosecha 151 blend will be coming in a shapely Salomon size, but it’s only available to retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America. Those who are currently in Aruba at the TAA conference are getting a sneak preview of the cigar. Everyone else will have to wait until next week after the convention concludes.
When Plasencia’s Cosecha 151 brand debuted last year, it was made solely of Honduran tobaccos from the Plasencia family’s 151st crop, which was harvested in 2016–2017 (a banner year by the Plasencias’ estimation). The new Salomon is made using those same tobaccos, however this unique size is a limited edition, as only 500 boxes of 10 Salomones are being released.
The Plasenica Cosecha 151 Salomon measures 6 inches by 54 ring gauge and has a suggested retail price of $19.50 per cigar or $195 per box. Made at Plasencia’s Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danlí, Honduras, the cigars are expected to ship to retailers immediately after the convention is over.
